The League and Union booking processes are surprisingly easy with only an online form to fill out. The advantage of this is that the league and the union supply a subsidy through the OAC poets-in-the-schools program. This not only covers part of the poet’s fees but in the case of out-of-town visits covers transportation and per diem expenses including hotels.
In their terminology he charges: $550 per full day (school's portion is $350 for a full day, approx. 2 readings) or 300/ half day (school's portion is $200 for a half day, one reading) This can vary in the case of inner city schools or schools otherwise economically challenged.
